In July 2024, UK carpet and flooring retailer Carpetright went into administration, putting 1,800 jobs under threat. A few days later, Tapi (Carpetright’s long-standing rival) confirmed it had bought the Carpetright brand and 54 of its 273 stores (saving around 300 jobs).
